Betty Makoni's first published book, A woman, Once a girl-Breaking silence London Launch on International Women's day-8 March Betty Makoni, a girl child rights activist and multi global award winner and CNN hero for protecting the powerless has published a short poetic prose poetry book called A woman, Once A Girl-Breaking Silence which is a forerunner of her official story, Never Again. Many women and girls asked her to share her inspirational story and this is what she has and will keep doing. On 8 March 2012, Betty will be launching her poetry book in London. She has invited people concerned about womanhood and motherhood to come and heal through her story. An award winning documentary film of her work, Tapestries of Hope will also be screened for the first time in London on International Women's day.
